Shadow only lights & shadless materials
Can spotlights be used to cast a shadow without producing light and can a shadeless material be built to accept those shadows?<br /><br />I ask because I would like to make an environment and instead of using Godots lights I would like to Bake down a beauty render to the models textures so as to get really nice indirect lighting. For that to work the materials need to be shadeless as the textures are pre-lit so to speak. I have already made a test map and the technique works great but the obvious problem is that the lighting is static. If some shadow only lights could be added to the scene they could be set up to cast shadows only for dynamic objects so if something is moving it doesnt break the illusion so readily.
